Create a Powerful Morning with Inspired Closet Makeover

The Inspired Closet Makeover is catching on in the San Francisco Bay area. Women are looking for more tools to empower and activate themselves on a daily basis.

(Newswire.net -- May 12, 2019) Pleasanton, CA -- Are women making the progress they desire in attaining wealth, being thought leaders, and in achieving high level leadership positions in business? And, just as importantly, once women achieve these roles, what tools and practices do they use daily to sustain themselves? Now that women advancing in leadership is such a hot and newsworthy topic we need to also talk about how women can support themselves as they climb the corporate ladder, create and participate in movements such as the Women’s March, and find and use their voices everywhere they go.

According to Forbes Coaches Council CommunityVoice 2018, some of the biggest challenges a female leader can face are being confident, speaking up, trusting their own voice, and dealing with negative thoughts. According to Susanne Biro, Susanne Biro & Associates CoachingInc., “In conversations with leaders, there is one recurring theme that haunts me. It is the virtually inaudible question I hear women asking themselves too often: “Who am I to…?”

“I absolutely agree” says Crystal Langen, creator of the Inspired Closet Makeover. This question of ‘Who am I to …’ fill in the blank with mother, share my new ideas, lead my community, ask for more money at work, ask for a promotion, attain and maintain a high-level leadership role, or simply speak my truth. My clients ask those questions all the time. They share how their closets create negative thoughts about themselves first thing in the morning, lower their confidence and self-image; which can lead to speaking up less.” Through Langen’s inspired closet makeover program and book, she helps create a safe space where women can address these challenges.

Marie Kondo has lead in the awareness that tidying up our spaces can create more joy in our lives through her book and her popular Netflix series “Tidying Up”. Langen is urging people to not just Marie Kondo their clothes, but to take it to the next level and do something special with the new tidy space in your closet.

Langen says, “It is not the size of your closet or how little or how much clothing you have in there. It is about being intentional about the space. A small shelf can be put in and something personal and meaningful can be created there. Something that will make you smile and feel good when you see it. A place you anticipating visiting each morning. Change up the same old morning routine (where you simply go through the motions} and turn it into a morning sanctuary where you get to do meaningful daily ritual. The purpose of a ritual is to nurture a deeper relationship and connection with your inner self. You can do this ritual in your closet and anchor back to it throughout the day.”

Women are discovering, instead of going to their closets and being met with clothes that no longer fit, clothes that are no longer inspiring, too many clothes, or simply walking into a space that has been overlooked and underutilized, a woman can take control and flip the narrative.

Now, not only do the things in their closet spark joy but the closet itself is a source of joy. Some of the key concepts in this makeover is Langen is not limiting you to the amount of items you can keep, in fact she is not telling you to get rid of anything. She is more concerned with you getting the things you do not wear, fit in, or feel fully self-expressed in out of your daily awareness. She has you donate these pieces of clothing or she has you put them in a “keepsake box” so they are not hanging in your closet.

The next thing Langen has you do is create a sacred space within your closet. You could also call this an altar of sorts. Women are encouraged to place photos there, inspirational quotes, prayers, perfumes or essential oils, crystals, or even your written goals. What about adorning this space? Consider painting your closet a bright fun color, put a beautiful poster up, change the lighting, or hand decorations from the ceiling. Unleash your playful creative side.

Is this new closet experience transformative for every women?

According to Langen, “Yes, the Inspired Closet Makeover process www.crystallangen.com, which I developed and have used to serve my clients since 2015, has resonated with clients no matter what their typical day looks like. It could be the corporate women, retired women, stay at home mothers, entrepreneurs, women who work from home or in an office environment. It has help all of them.” Langen recommends every woman to give it a try, because after all, every women need a sanctuary where she can start her day feeling empowered, inspired, and honored.

The book The One Thing Every Mom Needs To Know’ will be available on Amazon.com on Mother's Day.
